NHS Selection Process:
  1. Student must be enrolled at Cheyenne East High School for at least 1 semester.
  2. Candidates must have a 3.75 out of 4.0 GPA unweighted cumulative GPA by the end of First Semester of either Sophomore or Junior Year.
  3. Candidates must be a Sophomore Spring Semester or Junior Spring Semester to be eligible.
  4. Upon meeting the grade level, enrollment, and GPA standards, candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, and character (and citizenship for NJHS.)
  5. Student will be invited to apply for membership if they meet the above requirements. They will receive a letter and application from the NHS Advisor.
  6. All applications received by the deadline on the application will be processed and sent on to the Faculty Council for Approval.
  7. All approvals will be confirmed with the Principal and the Principal holds all final decisions in membership.
  8. An induction ceremony will be held in the Spring Semester after the application deadline and meeting of the faculty council.
