The Parent Partnership Council is designed to give every family opportunities to get involved with our school through three distinct pathways: Voice, Learning, and Action.
Through Parent Pulse (Voice), parents can share feedback, provide input on school initiatives, and help shape decisions that impact students and families.
The Parent Learning Academy (Learning) offers workshops, resources, and learning opportunities that empower parents with tools and strategies to support their child's success.
The Parent Impact Team (Action) provides hands-on opportunities to volunteer, support school events, recognize students and staff, and help foster a positive school culture.
Whether you want to share your perspective, grow alongside other parents, or make a direct impact through service, there's a place for you in the Parent Partnership Council.

Admission: Students from the home and visiting teams receive free admission with enrollment verification. All others must pay admission or use a family pass.

Student Supervision: Elementary and junior high students must be with a parent or guardian at all times. Unsupervised students may be escorted to their parent/guardian or removed from the venue.

Prohibited Items: No backpacks, outside sporting equipment, balls, bikes, scooters, or skateboards.

Wristbands: For events requiring wristbands, all spectators must wear one. Anyone without a wristband will be asked to leave.

No Re-Entry: Students who leave the venue may not re-enter.

Expectations: Remain in the stands and support your team. Loitering in restrooms, concession areas, or walkways is prohibited.

Entry Decisions: School administration reserves the right to refuse entry.

Misconduct: Spectators removed for misconduct may be prohibited from attending future events.

ATTENTION SENIORS: Laramie County School District #1 will participate in Jae Boots for seniors this fall. Through the generous donation of the Jae Foundation every senior in LCSD#1 will have the opportunity to participate in this initiative and to receive a free pair of cowboy boots. Every senior, not over 18 years of age, will need to have a signed permission to participate. Permission slips can be completed online or by stopping by a counselor's office to pick up and return a paper copy. Permission slips must be received by November 6, 2026. |

The Elevation Design Lab for students ages 11-18 is an immersive digital arts course where students will learn the professional workflow of Adobe Fresco, creating digital files that will then become high-quality t-shirts, stickers, and pro-grade posters. The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7 PM beginning October 6 and run for 8 weeks at $75 per student. Through this course, students will get to build their own art portfolio to use in college or job applications later down the line.
Our Satellite Program for Aerospace Research and Knowledge (S.P.A.R.K.) has already started and is now closed for new admissions, but we will be launching another high school cohort at the top of the new year. This STEM-based program is for grades 9-12 in partnership with EdgeFlyte, where student engineers will design, build, and program their own miniature satellites. When I have an exact date and time for the next start date, I will loop you in again, but the course will run for 6 weeks and be $85 per student. Students master advanced electronics and real-time space operations through project-based learning aligned with Wyoming Content and Performance Standards and come away with industry certifications and resume boosters.
Both courses will take place at the Cheyenne Children's Museum ( 1618 O'Neil Ave). We provide all of the materials, which are included in the pricing, but if money poses a barrier to any interested students, we have several fully funded scholarships available that are need-based, not merit- or grade-based, and applications are quite simple and can be filled out here: https://forms.roller.app/#/cheyennechildrensmuseum/681ceb3b35ed432/form
CCM NexGen, our very first museum apprenticeship program for high school juniors and seniors. Each apprentice will be paired one-on-one with a CCM staff mentor and dive into a real project of their own, build professional skills, and walk away with a portfolio of tangible work to show for it. Whether students are exploring a career in museums, building their resume, or logging volunteer hours for the National Honor Society or the Congressional Award, this apprenticeship offers real, hands-on experience they can point to! The roles are unpaid and each one is explained in the application, equating to about 5 hours per week or 10 hours per two-week period.

The Daniels Scholarship application opened on September 1, and the earlier students start, the stronger their applications tend to be. You are one of the best ways we reach talented young people, and a personal nudge from you carries weight that a mass email never will.

SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS: East will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT on October 20, 2026. Students will bus to the district administration building to take the assessment. This test is practice for sophomores. For juniors, this is the first step in seeing if you qualify for becoming a National Merit Scholar. Use the link below for more information.
